AP Poll

Interesting. There are 6 SEC teams in this Top 25 and 5 Pac-12, but the Pac-12 and SEC both have 7 teams in the top 29.
But just the Top 25:
SEC = 6
Pac-12 = 5
Big Ten = 4
ACC = 4 (5 if you count ND)
Big 12 = 4
Houston is the only non-power 5 team in the poll and they are rumored to possibly be going to the Big 12.

Nice. If Wittgenstein were a sports fan, it would have been the first Proposition.

I am belatedly thumbing through the SI preview (the one with the Rosen interview) and was once again appalled that UW was ranked 7th and we were 11th. I thought there was a thread on this, but can't seem to find it or do a successful search for it. Am I dreaming?

Preseason polls are just a lot of guessing. I've always been a proponent of no polls till the midpoint of the season. That way you don't have a bunch of teams getting inflated reputations because they beat someone ranked high in the first or second game. Especially when that high ranked team goes on to be very mediocre throughout the season.Â
