For those who don't know, Eric Reid, the 49er who chose to kneel with Colin Kaepernick during the National Anthem, is a brother of Stanford starting safety Justin Reid.
From everything I've read, the two are close, with Justin citing his brother being in the Bay Area as a factor in his decision to come to Stanford from Louisiana.

Harbaugh recruited Eric Reid with his typical EUTM. At that time Reid's mother, I believe, was a temp nurse in an Oakland hospital, flying into town for short stints from Baton Rouge. However, Eric chose to play for LSU close to home. Smart guy and is the players' rep for the team.
