The good news is that unless Thomas decides to go pro, both he and Phillips should be back next year.

McCaffrey seems most likely to turn pro. The evidence here is his father has made some comments that imply he would be suggesting that to his son. It's not much to go on, but it's something.
Thomas I have heard nothing that allows me to have any opinion.
I don't think Phillips would be drafted at the current time. That wouldn't necessarily stop him from trying, but I don't think Stanford has ever had a junior declare for the draft then not get drafted.

So far I've only seen people saying that Ed McCaffrey made comments that implied that Christian would go after 3 years, which I recall seeing too. However, Christian himself has definitely said something that implied he would stay for 4 years. Who know how much stock to put in any of it, though?
I'd personally be pretty surprised if Phillips went, since he's put relatively little on film. He's quite important to us, but it's not clear if that's because he's NFL-good or the lack of other DL contributors. Thomas is not quite the same deal since he'll at least be all-Pac-12, but supposedly he doesn't quite project well to the NFL DL and could use more weight. He could probably go either way.
