The students have their own priorities. The alumni seem to have different priorities :p

The question of priorities of UC students and alumni brings to mind the comment made by UC Berkeley Chancellor Clark Kerr, who said that the chancellor's job was "providing parking for faculty, sex for the students, and athletics for the alumni."
