Thanks, everyone. I'll do my best to get answers to some of these. One note -- I'm almost certain that Shaw hasn't yet seen the incoming freshmen. I think they arrived on campus this week. I ask him about the marquee freshmen every year at this thing, and his answer is always the same: "Haven't seen him yet."

Shaw also mentions having an agent, which I hadn't heard before. (I remember a story about his first signing for Stanford that mentioned he negotiated the contract w/o an agent.)

Did anyone happen to catch Yogi Roth's "rant" at the beginning of Thursday's Media Day program on Pac12 Networks? Apparently, he now has a vote for the trophy-that-shall-not-be-named and he promised that he will be a responsible diligent voter that will consider the actual words that the award says it stands for. Basically said it was a shame that a bunch of voters submitted their picks before McCaffrey played his last game and he was robbed as a result.

I've been looking for a video or transcript, but so far no luck. It was pretty enjoyable though. He also said he thought his college roommate Larry Fitzgerald was also robbed of the award.

*Late add: "I'm going to look at the letter of the law... No one is on my board now... I'm going to take you through it all year long on Facebook live... I'm going to do the exact opposite of what happened to Christian McCaffrey a couple of years ago where 15% of the voters voted prior to the Pac12 Championship game. That's an embarrassment... If you voted prior to the championship game, I think you should lose your vote..." etc.
