If there was one negative to Christian McCaffrey's Stanford career, it's this: WildCaff. The athletic department's stubborn clinging to the most ridiculous nickname in the history of nicknames (pushing the Big Unit down to #2), was more than disappointing.
I understand the etymology -- you put Tyler Gaffney in the wildcat, and it's the Wild Gaff (also unfortunate) so with McCaffrey in the wildcat formation you get WildCaff. Still stupid.
So here's my request. When Bryce Love finds his way into the wildcat (let's use another thread to debate the merits of this strategy), can we refer to this as the Love Gun instead of the Love Cat? In general, I much prefer the Cure over KISS, but in this case Love Gun is clearly the better option. If we start this momentum going now, we can save the athletic department (and Love) from another embarrassment.
