We won 76-65; a much needed victory to start conference play against a ranked UCLA team.
Brit in her 2 games back showed how much we sorely missed her while she was out. She is fast becoming the Chiney of the '12-'13 team on this year's squad I feel like, but I am hopeful we have a more productive supporting cast around her.
Including Fingall, who was on fire from the high post, knocking down FT jumpers cleanly, which is great to see.
Twenty turnovers including some when the game was still in doubt is frustrating. To an extent, of course you are right, though a lot of the UCLA mistakes that I saw were of the unforced kind. UCLA shot 31% for the game, and a lot of those misses were not because they were well-defended. Canada was an uncharacteristic 7/28 (ouch!). Had they shot a merely below average 39% from the field, they would have made 6 more shots and won the game.
That being said, I don't want to dwell too much on that, because we had our own problems with unforced mistakes (20 turnovers!), and in the end we did what we had to do when it counted, taking a 2-pt 3rd quarter lead and scoring 28 in the fourth quarter to win comfortably.

We just looked half a step slower and playing the game a move or two behind UCLA sometimes when we were on offense. Maybe it was largely Canada and then pressing when they were trying to climb back from a deficit later in the game, but the 5 second violation inbounding and the picked off passes were frustrating to watch, as if we were wanting them to play down to our speed
