I daresay that Robin is currently at least as good an NBA player as Brook, if not better.
The twins are in their age-29 season, and both play for bad teams. Robin is averaging 12.6 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game and 0.8 blocks per game for the Bulls. He averages 28 minutes per game.
Brook is averaging 12.0 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game and 1.4 blocks per game for the Lakers. He averages 21 minutes per game.
Brook has been paid about $120 million in the last seven seasons. Robin has been paid about $70 million over the same period, as far as I can tell. Brook was obviously more advanced offensively when he entered the league, but was he always a better all-around player? Do NBA front offices have a bias toward offense? Or has Robin continued to improve while Brook has not?
