Let me be the second to offer congratulations to Brittany and her teammates who helped her on the court and practice floor. I'm afraid the team of the early 90s has mostly faded from my memory, but this team has a quality that has not been seen for many a year. Other teams were more talented and won more games, but none have had to come back from so much & fought harder. I suspect Geno would probably say he'd rather be coaching this team. I am sure that the grit that this team has showed and its improvements have given Tara that "Yeah, that's why I'm still coaching!" moments.
The team is doing even better than I expected, but there's still more to be done. Kaylee needs to take & hit some shots from the elbow. Alanna & the big frosh need to keep the fouls under control. Pretty much everyone needs to improve their free throws. The subs need to keep pushing the starters so the skills get honed on the practice floor, not at crunch time. Marta needs to keep that light bulb that went off a couple of weeks ago (IMHO, she's the most improved player this season -- at least if she keeps up the improved offense, decreased turnovers, the steals & the pressure defense, and not waiting past the last instant,).
