Was frustrated this weekend with ESPNs "Wrap Around" coverage where they pick one game to broadcast and others that are listed as the same time and channel (e.g. ESPNU or ESPN2) that they blithely state as available for streaming.

Of course I prefer to record games and watch at my own time and pace, and I would love to be able to watch both UCLAs and our game at the 6 PM slot tonight. Hell, my cable has 4 tuners so I could get the ASU game as well, if broadcast on a different channel.

Does anyone have a clever solution, or are we just generally screwed on this?

I think you can watch the Stanford game in its entirety on the WatchESPN app. At least it worked for me for the first round game.

You can stream them all live on watchespn.com, and then they're available on demand after the game is over. That's what I've been doing so far, and it's been fine.

Are the streamed games available via on demand? I was under the impression that only formerly broadcast events were.

At least for march madness, they are. I think it's because technically their wrap around coverage means they are "broadcasting" all of the games, regardless of what shows up on TV. In any case, the UCLA, Oregon, and Stanford games are all available. You just need to log in with your cable provider username and password information.

If you have DirecTV or Dish Network, all the games are individually broadcasted on other channels. For DirecTV it's 788-791. If recording, don't forget to add extra time.

Excellent; thanks! I've got Comcast, and was basing my concerns off of T&F championship coverage (and swimming) over the last couple of years where not all events were available even if competition was broadcast. Probably because streaming was NCAA run vs ESPN as you've described for MMadness.

Now will just need to buttress my news cocoon to avoid scores until I've had my fill. Cheers.

For me (Spectrum), it is 1275-1282.

It's actually "whip around." You might think that means moving rapidly from game to game. Actually it's more about flagellation: ESPN beating viewers into submission to watch whatever game ESPN picks. UConn blowouts are of course preferred.
