I just don't know that I've ever seen a Stanford commit state up front "I'm leaving school early to play pro." So since we waste our time reading tea leaves to predict the actions of 17- and 18-year olds, I would be surprised if Williams commits to Stanford. That's all I meant to imply.

Right, Stanford's graphic says 2025, but the recruit "corrected" the tweet and said (and still says) "It's going to be a reality in 2024." Whatever, it's now a bigger deal than it should have ever been, so sorry about that.

OK, the old dog won't die. I agree with you, Phogge, and I don't have a problem with recruits thinking/wanting to make the NFL after three years in college. But for Stanford to tweet a graphic saying that a recruit is going to be drafted in 2025, and then the recruit "correcting" the tweet and saying that he will be in the NFL in 2024, not 2025, makes me wonder if said recruited is all that interested in Stanford.
