Has anyone travelled to LA for the football game against SC?

I'd like to know if the Stanford seats are good or would it be better to buy thru SC? The Stanford seats are in section 1 & 2 in the corner behind the end zone stands where the SC Marching Band sits. The last thing I want to do is listen to them play their monotonous songs all game long but I like the idea of sitting with other Stanford fans.

The Stanford allotment at USC is awful.  I always laughed when a visiting team would come to Maples and their fans were shoe-horned in the upper corner.  The seats at USC are actually worse...but that doesn't really matter.  There is nothing better than to be sitting with fellow fans when you're on the road.  USC sets up temporary bleachers in the south endzone and the Stanford allotment is somehow located behind and around those bleachers.

Quick tangent, I drove down to USC 2 years ago for the lambasting that we laid on the the "mighty" Trojans.  It was the best experience I've ever had at a sporting event.  To see USC fans hang their heads in shame was truly priceless.  As the exodus began in the beginning of the 4th quarter, you could actually see the USC fans realize their dominance of the PAC-10 was over.

One other thing to note about the seats at USC.  In, or near the Stanford section, adjacent seats might not have adjacent numbers.  I never understood how this was possible.  You might have seat number 10 and the person sitting next to you has seat number 21.  It's weird.

So in the SC record books SC only won one time in the last decade against Stanford in LA.  Stanford fans still run in with delight at the idea of being competitive, and cheer with the idea that the team may beat the might SC.  But to SC fans, Stanford has had far too much success in LA.  If you sit in non-Stanford sections it may get very uncomfortable if Stanford is beating the up (again).

I was also at the '09 game, and like many have already said, I've always described it as the most fun I've ever had at a sporting event. A friend of mine gave me seats in the the University of Spoiled Children alumni section, which made the whole thing even more delicious. Even so, I'll be in the Stanford section this year. Yes, all away teams sit in the corner seats of the Coliseum. They get like two tiny sections. The band does sit in the end zone seats (bleachers?) on the same end of the field.
