I am still a skeptic when it comes to expansion of the conferences. College football has definitely changed in the last 20 years, all of these damn sponsors such as the "Meineke Car Care Bowl" and these proposed super-conferences. A 16 team conference is ludicrous! It wouldn't work out for football, baseball, or basketball. Imagine the traveling expenses, the confusion of who plays who, and so own and so forth.

What ever happened to the love of the game? But these days money does the talking.

If money did the talking, far fewer schools would have football programs. That might be a good thing.

Wow, we sound grumpy!  Evidently I'm in the minority around here but I'm excited about the new schedule, championship game and PAC 12 North.  Enjoy the season and give the new conference structure a chance.  Not all change is bad.

What could be more festive?  Well, quite a lot - that bar is set pretty low.  My personal favorite though would be a November PAC 12 championship game in Palo Alto with the Rose Bowl on the line.  Best part is I'd BE ATTENDING the Championship game but no one's twisting my arm to care any more about Utah/Colorado then I do about Az/Az St.

Yes, what could be more festive than the historic rivalry game between Colorado and Utah, with literally weeks full of tradition at stake?

Colorado and Utah have played each other 57 times, so they do have some history.

Of course, not many people remember that history, because they last played in 1962. . .

You are swimming upstream, Garvin.  We are headed towards four 16 team superconferences.  Heck, I'm looking forward to the day when the Big Game is the nightcap on an early October Thursday night twin bill on ESPN.  With a lead-in of Ohio University v. Marshall, the ratings for the late game will break all records...
