<p>I'm surprised to read this, as when Seattle moved to release Baldwin in May it seemed wholly the team's decision, though I did find one article that cited Carroll and the Seattle GM as stating Baldwin was contemplating retirement.</p><p><br></p><p>

<p>I really like Baldwin, too. Will miss him. His fire and skill and articulacy were great. Glad to have him represent Stanford.</p><p>I thought he was an ass, though, for mimicking taking a dookie with the football after scoring a touchdown in the Super Bowl.</p><p>-m.</p>

Damn, I like our players. I’m also glad that with kids and age, my fanatical love of Stanford football is starting to wane. It’s a blast, but I know I also contribute to the problem by being a fan.
