UW Game Thread -- Stanford 23 - UW 13
We're at 96.8% right now. Biting my nails now.
With his history, I doubt it. Looks bad.

Defense is playing well. So let West get some minutes.

Looks like they're icing the back of Mills' leg, which suggests something other than an injury the knee joint itself. Hoping big time that that's the case.

Gutsy performance by everyone. Nothing but respect for our guys.

Yeah, for sure. Maybe we'll get Costello back next week if Mills is still out. West looks pretty shaky just handing it off.

It probably doesn't matter but I would've gone for it. A quick run up the middle against a defense this tired is nearly guaranteed to get a yard.

Scarlett! What a beastly performance.
Kudos to Shaw for somehow Macguyvering this team across the finish line tonight with some 4th string frosh and chewing gum.
Also I doubt Mills would be smiling if he were sitting on a bigtime injury. Hard to imagine we can finish the season without some DL conversions to OL though. Is it 6 healthy OL players now?

God damned Lufthansa. The friggin “technical issue” made me miss one of the most improbable wins in a while.
Glad we won. Now I need to watch the game. Judging by the fact we held them to 13, I’m guessing the defense played its heart out. Sounds like the offense played well enough to win, but left a lot of points on the table.
All right now!

Husky fans looking shocked. Can't blame them, though. I'm a fan, and even I underestimated this Stanford team.
Stanford kicked UW's ass, especially in the second half. Sometimes a good team takes a lesser team lightly at the beginning of the game, then wakes up and starts to show its superiority. Nothing like that happened tonight. The second-half was a #partyinthebackfield game for the D, and in the last 30 minutes the Stanford offense found paydirt and moved the chains with regularity.
Tremendous credit to Shaw as well as all the players. This is a great victory worth savoring.
