Well, actually yesterday. Finished his epic 2014 postseason. The most amazing athletic feat I have witnessed.

52 2/3 IP. 39 H 6 ER 6 Walks 45 Ks. That is a WHIP of .86. ERA 1.03
Then there is his WS. 2-0 with a save.  21 IP 9 hits 1 run 1 walk 17 Ks. Not to mention closing with a 5 inning shutout relief performance 2 days after his start. 

His career WS 4-0. 36 IP 14 hits 1 run. 5 walks. 31 Ks. WHIP 0.52. ERA 0.25. And a save. 

My guess is he will be in a Braves uniform next year. Which will make them my second favorite team. 

And I’ve read some say he hasn’t been an elite regular season pitcher. Not true. His 3.13 career ERA is, I believe, 4th in this century. Better than Verlander or Strasberg or Scherzer or Grienke.

The Braves are on Bumgarner's list of eight teams to which he can't be traded.  I know the contract is complete, but I suspect that means he won't join the Braves.

Curious to see his 2020+ contract. His RA9 (ERA+ unearned runs) has risen four years in a row (3.01, 3.14, 3.32, 3.54, 4.29). Last month's ERA was 5.52. His home ERA was 2.93 in 2019, his road ERA last season was 5.52. It's been four years since he's been an All-Star. He gave up the third most HRs in the NL (30). and the fourth most earned runs. On the other hand, his WHIP was virtually identical to his career average, and he pitched the second most innings in the NL last year. He finished 7th in fewest walks per nine innings. So will he get big free agent money?

BTW, his 2014 post-season was amazing. Complete game shutout over the Pirates in the wild card. Win over St. Louis in NLCS (he was MVP) and his win and save over Kansas City in the WS (also MVP). Loved his 5 inning+ closeout in the 2014 WS on two days rest - my biggest sports thrill. That spate of World Series wins by the Giants was amazing. They're the only non-wartime NL team to win three World Series in five years.
