She hated the limelight and struggled the one year she took over in 2000. It was a challenging year because Logan Tom was missing for most of the year because of the Olympics and the team didn't have consistent passing nor did they have a terminator.
Her personality suited much better towards behind the limelight and that's just how she liked it.
Really tough loss. Corlett was an institution and one of the cornerstones of the Stanford Women's Volleyball Program. She was one of the greatest recruiting assets to Shaw, Dunning and Hambly because she was able to make the parents of recruits feel safe to send their daughters so far away from home (if they were outside of California). She was exceptional at her job and will be sorely missed.
