After that first half, I don't want to hear anything about the women's game being too low scoring or too defensive.
We are getting killed on the offensive glass. Arizona 11 Stanford 2. And it doesn't seem like anything will go in the basket on the first try.

We're honestly fortunate that the game in Pauley was just early enough in the season to catch UCLA before they put it together. One week ago they went into Tucson and spanked these same Wildcats, Arizona's only home loss besides Gonzaga, and then won twice again this week. If we were to go down to Pauley now a win would not happen.
All that's left to see is if this team has the fortitude to pull two or three more wins out of their &%$ or if it's going to be a one-way walk behind the barn.

Thi is the first game I attended this year. Both teams, Arizona and Stanford looked tired. Arizona was 3/21 from 3 point range, and Stanford was 3/17. Arizona is strong enough inside that they can survive 3/21. Stanford is not. To have any chance at all Stanford needs to hit 35% or so of those shots. If we had, we are in the game and probably win (9 more points and fewer Arizona rebounds that became points). We had the looks. The ball didn't go in. We aren't big enough/strong enough to survive that, period.

Haase's offenses have been horrible the entire time he's been here. I'd LOVE an average "Dawkins-esque" offense right about now. Even his worst was better than all but one of Haase's.
A little surprising but certainly not shocking that Jones and Taylor are struggling so much offensively. Seems as though they've hit the freshman wall. Daejon's offense has completely disappeared...seems as though he's been out of sync for quite a few weeks. Don't know if the mask is to blame but if he's not contributing offensively, we're really hosed.
Good news for the future: we bring in two apparently very good to great shooters next year. Have to think that will make a big difference. We'll still struggle in the low post but getting additional firepower along the perimeter has got to pay dividends in close games where we struggle offensively...meaning, almost all of our games the past month or so.
