Traditional commencement was cancelled, not graduation. Hopefully, everybody will be able to look back and appreciate the sacrifices that are being made now. The athletes who turn pro still have a great future, albeit somewhat more uncertain.

However, even as I was leaving Stanford I could recognize how much I had enjoyed my time there, and how important it was to my life. Hard to imagine calling any of even the bad times hell, although they weren't fun. Yes, it is a bummer for these guys not to get a graduation event. It would have been much worse to not have been there at all.
