Totally agree!
And even more painful is that all teams are in that situation this year.
I almost think watching a bad loss is better than watching the news.

Too bad there was a small gap at 57 secs but what a rousing call -- was that David Lombardi?
I had forgotten how deep that team was. Nneka, Chiney, and Jos inside with Kayla the biggest 3 in the country. Kokenis a backup to Pohlen and LaRoque.

Nok question they were the better team that day. If was as such an intense atmosphere that day in Maples. BTW, interesting to see Missy Barlow was a red. I'd forgotten that.(03-22-2020, 10:24 AM)TheWildJacko Wrote: There's also this one:

I would love to see a clip from the game where Nneka scored 42 to help beat Tennessee. I caught a victory ball from that game and still have it.
Other stats I wrote on the victory ball: 12/20/11, final score 97-80, second leading Stanford scorer Toni Kokenis with 26.

When I was lucky enough to be fan-of-the-game, this was the game I named as my favorite.

I like to see quotes like that.
South Carolina is favored, but they do lose much more than we do. Particularly if Haley fully recovers and if Cameron Brink can contribute, I would favor us over South Carolina.
That is a nice thought in the midst of the incessant drumbeat of bad news--perhaps next year is our best chance for a national championship in the second half of the Vanderveer era.
