I live overseas, so those pirate-like web tv services... like atdhenet.tv ... have been valuable for me on lucky days when they were able to deliver last year.

Does anyone have info on whether atdhenet ... or another sports site ... is recommended or promising for watching the cardinal this year?  I can't go onto the various comcast-requiring websites, etc...

I had the same frustration as you on Saturday. All the sites that used to have live games have been shut down. I later found out that there were several individuals broadcasting the game from my son. He said the trick is to google "football stream online Stanford opponent" once the game has started, then ignore the first 30 search results.

have read two reports of people who used a free-lance streaming site and got infected by a trojan worm.    Having been through that twice in the past two years-- and having learned about the complete inadequacy of commercial anti-virus to protect-- I passed on trying to watch it on streaming site this past weekend.

The one thing you never want to do is install a non standard video player. Flash, Divx, QuickTime, Media Player, and Real Player are safe. It is very unlikely that you will get a virus with one of these players.

I highly doubt that you will see Stanford through Justin TV again.

I was relying on ESPN showing the game on ESPN3, since they're already showing it on ESPNU, but looking at the ESPN3 schedule tomorrow I was surprised to find it not listed. If they're already broadcasting the game, supporting it with a TV crew and commentators, why wouldn't they mirror it on their web site? Seems like lost advertising revenue to me.

If anyone finds an alternative web broadcaster, please post.

Big thanks to cardfan09 ... The soccer site did connect for me. Sadly it would freeze every 10 seconds and then come to life again ... And this bandwidth issue (at some link in the chain) resolved itself when they switched to Alabama vs new Mexico. Sheesh!
