Many of the points you've heard and read before--but I've long felt this was true and was glad to see an official confirm it:

“I would go out on a limb to say we’re able to do just as much here as any of the NFL teams I’ve been with just because of the mental aptitude and the amount of information our guys can retain and process,” [Pep] Hamilton said.

Wow, that's a remarkably incoherent subject line. Oh well. I found this line in ESPN Stanford blogger Kevin Gemmel's interview with Coby Fleener interesting also:

Are you a better blocker or a better receiver? I’m a better receiver. I’ve had to work harder on my blocking in order to get it where it is now. We’re really focused as a tight end group on our blocking. All three of us are more naturally geared toward receiving. It’s been a focus this offseason to really hone our blocking skills to make sure we can open those holes for the running backs.

All of them? I was under the impression Toilolo was supposed to be the masher TE.

Explains the Pistol better than most everything else I've read.  The pro-style was a bit....ummm,  perfunctory,  but this is written for a pro football blog,  so more understanding by readers is assumed, I guess.  The triple option was interesting but less revealing than the Pistol.  I would like more explanation like they did with the Pistol,  of its intent and how its advantages are employed...but I guess because it's been around since the 70's they figured not much more could be added.
