Thanks to the AD for making this available for all of us.Yes, Anna was discussed. And I did wonder what the reference to Jenna was, as if she were injured. Other than the seniors, the other players did not really have talking roles. Tara made an emphatic point of calling Anna a "junior."
Did I miss Anna's moment? I don't recall seeing her either be discussed by Tara nor give a speech, but I had to step away a few times during the show. And whatever Carrington's reasons were for grad-transferring, I did not get the sense it was because she had a falling out with the coaches. Her goodbyes were very heartfelt and generous and I really do wish her the best wherever she lands. (Though if it's Oregon, she better be prepared to LOSE!)
Finally, did anyone catch Tara telling Jenna Brown to "get better soon." Was she injured in the offseason? Does she have COVID-19? That was the only remark of that kind I heard so it made me wonder what was up. Hope it's nothing serious, regardless.

Not as much fun as getting to chat with BobK in person, and eating good food (I ended up having Cheerios for dinner), but it was a nice occasion and as good a closure on the season as we can expect in this @#$! year. You must be contributing to the increase in cereal purchases during SIP. Also I read that pajama sales increased 143% in April...

Appreciate that criticisms were constructive ... the tone softens the “no good deed goes unpunished” reality facing any first time program. You did. But I have noticed that as Tara has mellowed out in recent years that she is often more upbeat about the season ahead than she used to be.
I would like confirm two things I think I heard: First , Tara said that Ki called the play that got us to Overtime against Colorado .”Nashville” if I remember correctly and Second, Tara was very upfront and out in front in predicting great things for this team next year . I’m more used to coach speak that says “we have a chance to be good if we work hard but the schedule is tough and the conference is tougher”. I don’t remember Tara ever being this positive about a team this early.

At this point my greatest fear is that our rising talent and Oregon's losses to graduation put us in the best position in years to win the Pac 12, and we might not play any games.

If hundreds of schools and thousands of athletes, coaches, staff, are involved in playing games, even if fan participation is limited or no fans allowed, someone out of all those thousands of people will get sick, someone may die, and when that happens, what then? Shut it all down? Family sues, saying hey, my kid was on scholarship so even though she signed a waiver, she felt pressured to play due to the scholarship, so the waiver is invalid and we are suing the school, the conference, the NCAA for allowing her to get sick like that. What then? There will not be college sports until students are allowed to come back to campus and live in the dorms. The CSU has already decided against that and my guess is that more universities will follow. WBB is particularly unfortunate in that its season corresponds exactly with influenza season, so even if there is a summer lull things could heat up again by November. I have been looking forward to next season for so long....but it may be yet another thing this virus robs us of, and so I am trying to let it go. If I'm wrong it will be a very pleasant surprise.
Unless there is a vaccine or we somehow get treatments or otherwise get it under control (fat chance with the way things are going), there is just no way to keep so many athletes spread out in all parts of the country safe from getting exposed, which means some would get sick due to playing. Does anyone think the liability averse schools would risk that, even if they were willing to risk athletes getting infected by traveling and playing?
