Many of the pretenders bit the dust today. Georgia Tech, Michigan, and Illinois. I thought of Michigan as a pretender from the start because of the first 5 games were all at home, and were against weak opposition such as Eastern and Western Michigan, along with SDSU.
I watched some of the LSU and Tennessee game. Tennessee's running game was the only team to really challenge the defense of LSU, but LSU made adjustments to the rush. But Tennessee's inablitity to pass was another flaw. I am still not convinced that LSU is the best team in the land.
Ole Miss is still hanging with Bama 14-7 in the late 2nd quarter. Richardson and Lacey are having some trouble against the Rebel D. Looks like Houston Nutt prepared his team well, but I don't think Johnny Reb can last for the whole game.
I would like to see Clemson get exposed, and to show the world that they are constantly overrated.
But now its time for Stanford football!
