Postgame Shaw Presser

I think it is worth noting that this was a great post game press conference from Shaw. He acknowledged that the team is only approaching good but wants to be great. He focused, as usual, on the positive aspects of many players' and groups. He almost never directly makes negative comments about performance or coaching other than his general statements about lack of execution that seem to exorcise some around here. I, for one, don't need the head coach to give public expressions of the problems with the team including those with the coaching. Very few coaches ever give any meaningful information in press conferences. The thing I care about is whether or not the team seems to be improving and whether or not the coaches seem to be adapting to the team's strengths and weaknesses. I think the Shaw administration has been a little to slow to adopt changes but they have done so repeatedly. (E.g. changes from old school power running with a lead fullback to more read zone running based on the talent of McCaffrey and Love, as well as big changes from a run foundation to a pass foundation in some recent years. The idea that with Love and McCaffrey, the success of the team was somehow lucky based on talent and not adaptive coaching is, in my opinion, simply foolish.) I'm in a great mood because We've Got The Axe and am in no mood for the usual bitching that goes on about Coach Shaw right now and thought it was worth it to give him some deserved kudos this weekend.
Cheers,
Pete F.

So then what’s your take on the 2021 class which is close to the bottom rating-wise in the PAC 12? The class shows a change too, on the negative side. Whose fault is that?

I think his point is we just won Big Game; let's try to be a little bit positive about the program for just a short while. We can resume being negative thereafter.

Big Game was fine. But a poor team beat another poor team by a point. Talk about recruiting is especially relevant right now because LOI day is coming and it looks like the season is over. So it is time to reflect on the three game season and how you get batter with a crappy incoming class.

That may have been your best one yet!
[And someone else in these parts had a hilarious quip recently that is escaping me now. Anyway, humor is a good thing . . . especially nowadays].

Crimson, no oil but 1 3/4 TBS baking powder. Plus Costco frozen Oregon blueberries and a whole banana mashed not blended.

Agree on the baking powder. Been making Belgian waffles, and the oil is a necessity. Actually subbed brown sugar and cinnamon for the white sugar, and added some vanilla extract and some vanilla protein powder (my daughter is trying to train). Went with more eggs too; a key was to separate the yolks and whites. Beat the whites and fold them in later. Fruit on the side (the daughter doesn't like her food mixed up, she likes to do it).
