I wonder if they will change the seeding. Follow a true s-cuve vs. using school distance from venue which there isn't a need for this year.

I know it was confirmed for the men's side that they won't be using school distance to determine seeds/side of the bracket this year. Would assume they'll do the same for the women.

Shooting in a football stadium can be tough. The last Stanford team to play in the Alamodome only scored 47 points and shot 26.5% in losing the NC to UConn in 2010.

True. We did have an injured star in Jayne Appel (ankle) for that game though, and UCONN was pretty good...

UConn was good, with Maya Moore leading their comeback. However UConn struggled to make baskets too. They only scored 12 points in the 1st half.

We were there and I remember thinking that it was a really ugly game in the 1st half -- not a great showcase for women's basketball to have on national television, the championship game. There was one special aspect of it that has nothing to do with who won or the score -- then VP Biden attended, or at least was there during halftime. We were sitting in the front row, out past the baskets, and he walked by right in front of us, along with his secret service entourage.

We lead 20-12 at halftime. If poor Jayne hadn't been injured, we likely win a championship that year.
