Stanford has posted its lineup for the regional tournament in Albuquerque that begins on Monday - Michael Thorbjornsen, Ethan Ng, Karl Vilips, Nate Menon, David Snyder and substitute Daulet Tuleubayev. A notable name is missing - Barclay Brown. He has been Stanford's #1 player this season. Brown competed last weekend in the Walker Cup at Seminole GC in Florida, playing for the Great Britain and Ireland team. He played every day there. Something must have happened since then. Injury? Covid? Quarantine? Regardless, Stanford will be a lesser team without him.

Agreed, BobK, that is really a tough break for our two golfers and the rest of the team. 

California declared all adults vaccine-eligible on April 15, but that doesn't mean it was available for everyone. Plus if you are an athlete, you have to plan for a day or two of side effects, which I'm sure can be difficult in season. And then the fact that the vaccines are not 100% effective.
