Due to the tragic poor air quality drifting into Nevada from the Dixie Fire (now over 600,000 acres), the Univ. of Nevada - Reno Wolfpack will be sharing Stanford's football practice fields for the next week.
They will practice at different times from Stanford and will share no facilities, as they'll shower at their hotel.
I like that the university and Coach Shaw are a class act, though I hope they aren't spending any of Stanford's time/resources due to this.
Also, as for
"A Stanford spokesman said Nevada personnel wouldn't be subject to any formal campus policies around COVID-19 since the team is using only the outdoor fields. Stanford is requiring all students to be vaccinated and to take one COVID-19 test per week.”
I personally would have preferred if they all tested before heading over, even if there are no shared indoor facilities.
