Not quite sure which play you are referring to here. Third down was an overthrow on a crossing pattern at the back of the end zone without much interaction between DB and WR. Did you mean the second down post-up attempt to Humphreys in the right corner?

You are right. It was the second down play. I coiuld claim the extra down fooled me but it would be the wrong direction.

That may have been the game I was thinking of.  I couldn't remember if it was a game against Oregon or Washington (or if it happened more than once).

BTW, I'm not saying that our guys feigned injury; I recall being somewhat indignant at the accusation.  But we were certainly accused of it.  Maybe we were not as transparent as Cal was.

That may have been the game I was thinking of.  I couldn't remember if it was a game against Oregon or Washington (or if it happened more than once).
