I have to say after many years of not caring for Mulkey and her antics, I have become a fan.
I have mad respect for anyone who leaves a program she built from the ground up at Baylor with promising players still on the roster for an unknown and have loved listening and following along with her LSU journey. We saw this risk not pan out for Gail G leaving Duke for Texas and Nikki Caldwell not able to replicate her success at UCLA at LSU.
It's quite refreshing to see a coach show so much pride, joy and love for her players success. I loved every fist pump and every bit of celebration she showed last night on the sideline. That and the clip from the night before of her correcting her player for not dribbling the ball out when they were ahead 30+ points in the final seconds of the recent victory.
I wish her great success on the recruiting trail and just like Oregon had a Sabrina and South Carolina a local kid named A'ja, there is a #1 ranked recruit in the upcoming 2023 class out of upstate Louisiana that I hope Mulkey can reel in.
