enters the all-time performances in program history.
A masterclass game plan and a masterclass performance all the way around. In terms of game plan,
it has been a while since I have seen any college softball team (Stanford or otherwise) perform
like this (given the stakes and the fact that Alabama had a 44 game regional winning streak going back 15 years).
Congrats to the coaches and players on this performance, but the motto is #WonNotDone. We have to win one
tomorrow to finish the job.

Stanford was getting the bat on the ball all through the game. The starting Alabama pitcher did not look all that good or maybe Stanford coaching did a great job of scouting her.

I agree Palo Alto, Fouts looked off the whole start (and hope she is ok, after she got hit in the head from a throw down to second by her own catcher
on a Stanford steal attempt, which ended her outing).
However, Fouts is one of the best pitchers in the country; she was a First Team All American last year, with a perfect game against UCLA in the WCWS.
But similarly, the focus and preparation on Stanford's part really showed today.

Based on what Coach Allister said in her in-game interview about starting the game aggressive, I would be shocked if Alana didn't get the ball to start. Especially playing on the road in a tough environment, one of the great things about our performance today was taking the crowd out of it early, and maintaining the level of play so the crowd was never a factor. Alabama is a very talented team, so I imagine the plan is finish the regional without letting them or whoever we face back in it.
