If you search in YouTube for commonwealth games 2022 womens 3x3, there are some videos that will come up that don't have anything actually on YouTube, but they have a link to some dodgy web site where you may be able to watch events live by registering for a "free" account. "Free" actually seems to mean $1, and I didn't feeling like risking giving them a credit card number when my interest in this is marginal, so I stopped when it said $1.

p.s. There is some actual free Commonwealth Games content on the Olympic Channel, available at https://olympics.com/en/live/ and maybe on your cable system too. I don't know when/if they will show women's 3x3 basketball. Right now they are showing swimming. From the schedule I think the channel just has a 2-hour highlights package for each day of the games.

Not quite as big a win for England as beating Germany in the Euro finals,  but a good day to be English!

Yeah, it's definitely a good day to be English with football finally coming home. 

England will play Kenya in 3x3 for a spot in the semi-finals tomorrow with Australia waiting in the other semifinal. In Pac-12 rooting interest, Team Scotland has Kennedy Leonard (Colorado) playing in the quarterfinal against Canada. It looks like Australia will be an incredibly tough out -- but first Kenya. Kenya pushed Australia before losing 21-15 and also lost to Scotland 21-17 behind 9 points from Leonard. 

In the 15-14 loss to New Zealand to open the group, Hannah Jump played just 5:23 and scored 1 point. Jillian Harmon meanwhile went off for 7 points, on 4/6 shooting. In the 21-17 win over Canada, Jump played nearly nine minutes and led all English scorers with 9 points. Essentially, it looks like Jump is getting good minutes after the opening game -- but it'll be curious to see how she's utilized moving forward.

If England can repeat the 21-17 group stage win over Canada, Jump will come home golden. There is slight concern for England as a key defensive stalwart, Chantelle Handy, has picked up a niggling injury. The gold medal game will be tomorrow. This marks the first edition where Australia will not take home the gold in women's basketball at the Commonwealth Games -- with the Aussies winning in both 2006 and 2018 as basketball is an optional sport for these games.
