I know very little about the sport.  However, they are often playing or practicing when I bike past their field on my way to Maples for WBB games.  I have been become somewhat interested and will often pause to watch for a bit.

In any case, our team this year made the championship game in their league--the American East Championship.  It was all tied up at the end of regulation, and continued to be tied through two overtimes.  In the shootout we scored first, but then Albany made three in a row while we missed two, so we lose 2-1, after a 10-9 season. 

I'd like to learn more about this sport and watch it more.  Unlike ice hockey, I can actually see the ball moving around the pitch and thus I can follow their strategy somewhat.  Seems like a fun game that would reward the serious fan.

Thus ends a successful season.  I hope our team is on the rise.

Team is still recovering from the post-COVID cancelation/reinstatement. Essentially had 1 year with no recruiting (only 1 athlete ended up enrolling in fall 2021) plus turnover at coach, but had a large and strong recruiting class this year (8/18 on the roster are frosh). That said, we always have a ceiling with FH. Similar to LAX, sport is very East Coast dominant and we've never been able to win more than 1 game in the postseason. 

I agree FH is a fun sport to watch. Some rules are quirky (can only touch ball with one side of stick, can't score from outside the arc, has to hit the wooden board to score a goal in certain situations), but overall easy to pick up and watch.
