Can P12 football officiating get any worse?
And still David Coleman, director of the stinkfest that is Pac-12 officiating is still there. When the heck does he get fired?
Let's remember that he was in charge when UCLA's Tahaan Goodman concussed Francis Owusu with a blatant target. In response to the no-call, The Pac-12 issued an official statement that called the target legal because "the contact was with the front of the helmet and not the crown (top) of the helmet."
Whereupon the NFL issued a statement saying, ""It seems that some officials have been interpreting the crown of the helmet to mean the tip-top portion of the helmet only...We want everyone to understand that the crown of the helmet starts from the area above the facemask to the dome of the helmet." https://www.espn.com/college-football/st...own-helmet
Whereupon the Pac-12 said...nothing. Because Larry Scott and David Coleman suck like that.
David Coleman was also in charge when Woodie Dixon was interfering with officiating to give USC an edge to get to the playoffs.
It's astounding how badly Larry Scott and all his buddies ruined the Pac-12. This article linked in the original article discusses retired official referees laying out all the dysfunction in Pac-12 officiating leadership. Again, radio silence from the idiots up top. https://www.footballzebras.com/2019/03/m...eadership/

Looks like we're going to find out.
So the TinyTen is now poaching our football officials? The Pac-12 front office is a hot mess -- and not in a good way.
