Stats show he had 11 carries for 4.8 avg; 16 catches for 14.9 avg. Yes he was hurt but way underutilized IMHO.
I agree that TT didn't use him as a receiver as much as I had hoped. IMO it was because the QBs, especially early in the season, didn't read the field well and our OL didn't give them the time they needed to let the plays develop. Accuracy was also pretty intermittent. It was also obvious to the defense that Yurosek was a primary threat and they covered him accordingly. Using Yurosek as a runner was a "surprise" play that occasionally worked. However, once people knew we were doing it, it didn't work nearly as often.
While we never did have "great" QB success in the passing game last year, the passing game did get better as the year went on. We also had some receivers that developed enough they became a threat. If Yurosek had not been injured, he could have really helped at that point. Unfortunately, he was hurt so that added threat never materialized.
