I don't really see a path to success for this game. Clemson got smoked by #1 GaTech, 34-3 then crushed Appalachian State. They have the #22 offense and #31 defense. They're well balanced, and it's their homecoming. They have no weaknesses that I can see. They're favored by between 18.5 and 19.5 this weekend over North Carolina State.

Anyone here going to the Clemson game?
I'm thinking about it, mostly to see a game in the south for the first time and to visit some relatives nearby.
I haven't heard anything about a Stanford tailgate.

I'm taking the cross-country trip to check out the game and atmosphere. I try to go on one road trip a year, and this is as good as any to go on.

Agree. Based on the first 2 games, my expectation for the rest of season, is that assuming we play like we did the second half of Cal Poly, then we'll have some good, even great, offense and defense plays within the game. Like some big passing plays, some big defensive stops or takeaways. But also some big mistakes and frustrations, missed tackles, missed blocks, blown coverage, and especially in lack of a consistent running game (other than broken play QB scrambles, which always put the QB at injury risk). And that wins will be hard to come by. So I'm hopeful we play more competitively in general, and that we win a couple or even a few more. But yes I think the next 2 games are gonna be especially tough ones which hopefully don't turn into a rout.
