Named interim head coach for the Spurs while Pop is absent with an undisclosed illness.  I did not know he was an assistant.

I have fond memories of Mitch as he and I are the same class year at Stanford and the teams were relatively successful during our 4-year tenure (two trips to the NCAA tournament).

I didn't realize he was with the Spurs, but they are a great organization, and I'm really glad Mitch has had the chance to learn from Pop.
