In another set of cuts, Tom Tolbert was let go from KNBR yesterday. Sad day, imho. Enjoyed his show, and his sense of humor.

In another set of cuts, Tom Tolbert was let go from KNBR yesterday. Sad day, imho. Enjoyed his show, and his sense of humor.

Also laid off John Lund of the Papa and Lund show.
Tolbert had been there for 28 years. They let Paul McCaffrey go after 18 years alongside Brian Murphy, along with former Giant F. P. Santangelo. Also let the digital content team go, and the producer of the Tolbert show.
I really enjoyed Tolbert when he was paired with Ralph Barbieri. They worked together for 15 years.
Tolbert will still call Warriors home games with play-by-play man Tim Roye on 95.7 The Game.

I stopped listening to KNBR when they fired Ralph Barbieri. Only listen to 95.7 The Game now.

This is a super bummer for me. I've been listening to Tolbert since his first day, I appreciated his knowledge, sensibility and sense of humor. This decision seems completely out of touch with the listeners. Without Tolbert this time slot tanks. Who are they going to replace him with?

Tolbert is supposed to be hosting today at 2 for his last show. Quite a "who's who" in Bay Area sports lined up as guests.
