It shouldn’t care what private IP (v4 or v6) you use(given out by your router’s DHCP, behind a NAT), or the wifi name (SSID). It probably only cares what public IP you are using.
By any chance, do you have multiple ISPs or did you get a range of IPs from your ISP?
At least on SLING, if you try to watch any of the Orange(?) channels on two different devices, it will kick you off the first. I presume that policy is dictated by ESPN. So you can’t watch ESPN2 and ESPNU on two separate devices (and I bet you can’t watch them in two instances of the app on the same device, but I haven’t tried that)
