When I was logged in to my personal account today, I started noticing some strange board behavior that I'd never encountered before. This turned out to be due to social interaction from the good post/bad post feature. I think it might be useful for CardBoarders to know about these settings, which can enhance their CardBoard experience.
- It's possible to hide posts the community has deemed undesirable. Under the Profile menu, select Account Settings. Then, under Modify Profile, select Look and Layout. At the very bottom of the page is a selection for what to do with posts receiving a vote of -5 or less. The default is to gray them out. You may select Hide them to make them disappear from your view altogether, or Nothing, to have them appear as standard posts.
- It's also possible to hide all posts from particular members. On the same Look and Layout screen is an option "Hide messages posted by members on my ignore list." Select that. Then, as you discover posters whose posts you repeatedly find unreadable, return to Modify Profile, and select the Buddies/Ignore List and Edit Ignore List. At the bottom of the page is a field, Add to Ignore List, to enter a member's name. Begin typing in the member's screen name, and some selections will appear. Select the name of the member you want to ignore, and click Add, and that poster's posts will become hidden to you. At any time, you may go back and remove the poster from your ignore list.
