I'll be shocked if he picks Cal. He's been a Stanford lean since day 1, worked hard in the classroom and took the SAT 3 times, and Cal has great depth on their D-line while ours is definitely good but not great. Sure some of his good friends are going to Cal but I don't see Aziz as being a follower.

Great news!Â
Does anyone know how many schollies we have to offer (or range based on the no. of 5th year seniors invited back)?

this is pretty hard to speculate on but we really don't have many scholarships available for 5th years. The only locks are Chase Thomas and Sam Schwartzstein since they are starters. We have 17 right now and I feel like the most we can take is 22ish. Not everyone has been admitted though so we could lose a few commits. And Gaffney won't be making a decision until after the baseball season. Also, I'm not too familiar with how we handle the scholarships given to walk-ons. Is it on a per year basis, or permanent, or it just depends on how the coaches feel about the player? If anyone knows I'm all ears.

Does anyone know if Luke Kaumatule ever completed his application? A few weeks ago I read that he still had not submitted it, even though he kept saying he was solid for Stanford. That's one commit I'm now unsure about.
OTOH, Zach Hoffpauir from Az., a current Cal commit, visited over the weekend and is now waiting the word on his application, so it sounds like he is a possibility.
