I've been wrestling with this attention placed on these recruits, especially this recruiting cycle.  It doesn't help that many of these prospects who are waiting until the end seem to playing it up.  I really appreciate how most of the guys who come to Stanford know this is the school of their choice and don't wait until the end to commit. 

I was also looking forward to Tillman, Caspers, and Gray.  I've caught myself pining over the 4 and 5 *'s, but my favorite stories on the team are the unknowns who come in and do well.  Who ever heard of Ben Gardner?  Or both Whalen's?  None of the recruiting services did as they were all "Not Rated".
