First off, congratulations on the win tonight. Pack fans have been hoping for a game against Stanford for a long time and it took the NIT to finally make it happen.  ;D

Secondly, we've been told that Nevada will get a small allotment of upper concourse general admission tickets for this game. Given the (with all due respect) small crowds for Stanford's other two games in this tournament, what are the chances a fan sitting higher up could move down after the game starts?

Either way, I've never been to a game at the Pavilion before and I'm stoked for Wednesday night!

You should have no problem getting good seats. There's only one section that is well-guarded against squatters. We bought upper level and sat right behind the band (I'm guessing those seats go unsold because most people don't appreciate the noise.)

The inaugural Teams Formerly Coached by Trent Johnson Classic should, indeed, be interesting.

You shouldn't have a problem getting a seat in the lower reserved section, but, assuming you plan to root for the Wolfpack, bring your sense of humor, a smile, and a willingness to "give and take."  A rather vocal Illinois State fan located himself in the lower section near us tonight, but he [thankfully] was not a jerk about it and got along fine with the surrounding Card fans.  That, of course, saved us from having to summon GoodGrief [inside joke...]

Everyone should correct me if I'm wrong, but I think when people are saying that you can get seats in the lower level, they mean you can buy seats there.  There are ushers that will help you to your seat if you have a ticket and will direct you elsewhere if you don't.

I showed up to Monday night's game at 8:25 (5 minutes before nominal start time) and could have bought seats in the lower area in the corner (section 1,5,9,13) or end zone (6-8, 14-16).  The visitors bench was in front of section 4 (blue bench).  You can see where they'd stick you if you buy the visitor's seating, way up in 6.  I chose general admission and sat in an otherwise empty row about half way up in Upper 11.  There were thousands of empty seats in the upper level.

FYI, when attendance is like this, parking is also easy.  I prefer to park adjacent to the baseball stadium ("Varsity Lot"), which was about 60% full tonight.  There is also closer, underground parking at Parking Structure 7.  All free.  Oh, but wait, much of this parking may be restricted before 4PM.  If the game is before that, you may have to park at Galvez Field, which is unpaved and can be a real mess if it is wet.  In such a case, consider parking on El Camino Real, by Masters Grove.

Thank you to everyone for the advice! I ended up settling on a lower reserved seat in section 5.

I'm part of a group that's coming down by bus today. We'll be hanging out at the Old Pro for a bit before heading over to the Pavilion.
