That's a pretty bogus way to characterize their falling out. Wasn't Pat the one who filed a complaint with the NCAA about supposed recruiting violations committed by Geno and broke off their series?

In a sidebar piece that I couldn't find online, the reporter suggests 1) that Nneka Ogwumike will not guard Griner, for fear of foul trouble, and that Griner might be assigned "the less-mobile Joslyn Tinkle to stay anchored underneath." I can't tell if this is stuff the reporter picked up from the coaches, or if he's just putting up his own theories. The idea that you keep Griner under the basket by assigning her to guard Tinkle, though, strikes me as daft. Let's hope Kim Mulkey's gone mad.

Maybe I misunderstand you, but it seems clear to me.  Stanford will assign Jos to guard Brittney.  No one said that Brittney would be assigned to guard Jos.  I expect Brittney to guard either Nneka or Chiney, or maybe just stay in the center in some kind of zone.
