1. I'm biased. I work on ESPN's mobile web site and applications. So I have to suggest those, but I know that is not the only source of news. The ESPN Stanford blog was quite good last year. Not sure how well it will be supported this year.
2. I know a little bit about the technology and the media landscape.
3. Unfortunately, outside of the major media companies, the mobile version of web sites tend to be flawed or non-existant.
4. I go Twitter, actually, for news. I follow a few Stanford-related posters (cardinal report, rule of tree, and similar) - they tend to post the major news, with links to the full articles.
5. The ESPN college football app (if you have an iPhone or an Android) is going to be much improved. (It was called Bowl Bound last year, it will have a yet-to-be-decided name this year.) The team-specific fan experience has very much been the focus of the improvements.
