The Oregon Ducks will be without the services of starting senior defensive tackle Isaac Remington for some time, as he's been suspended by coach Chip Kelly "pending clarification of an incident that occurred Friday morning in Eugene."

Apparently he's pretty good (4th on team in tackles) and has already eclipsed his totals from last year.  More details after the jump.

Alas, this just means more playing time for their two true FR DEs Armstead and Buckner, both big and gifted.

Remington is a blithe spirit, long hair wild & crazy guy, but no history of issues, and it was a DUI,  so, kind of a glass house thing, don't cha think?

I'm still wondering what Remington had to do to be sat "indefinitely" at Oregon. 

It couldn't be just a DUI - My own theory is that he killed Santa Claus, burned the toys left for an orphanage and ate reindeer steaks for Christmas.  I think it's the romantic in me.

As tweeted by Rob (Sat around 1:15): Isaac Remington suited up and attended Oregon's practice today.

I know he was arrested for DUI at 12:30 am outside Rennies on a school night.

I think Remington was "taken into custody but not jailed" according to the reporter's twitter.

rookie NT Alameda Taamu from UW takes the cake for a stupid arrest. The police might have killed him but there were too many pedestrians in the area so they didn't fire their guns.
