I watched the first three quarters. It was a thing of beauty. The way he moves around in the pocket is just incredible. Dancing forward, backward, and side to side. And he has the receivers to make difficult catches, so he's not treating his WR's like they're wearing kid gloves. All last year I wondered what he would look like with a couple of top flight receivers, and I can't say I'm surprised. It's just uncanny how cool under pressure he is, even at that level. It could be a friendly game of flag football or the Superbowl, and I don't think his came would change.
I'll be watching the Colts for a long time, it seems. How much is the NFL kicking themselves for not giving him a little more prime time exposure?
But I won't be surprised if the RGIII hype kicks in again if he makes a few highlight reel plays and wins some games. And to their defense, many of those supporting RGIII admit that Luck is better now, but they believe that RGIII has more up side that will make him a difference maker after he's gotten the pro-set experience that Luck has lived and breathed for 3 years. I'm not buying it, but this argument will go on for at least a few years, until it's clear whose ceiling is higher.
