Some nice work. I don't suppose you can get me press credentials for the Rose Bowl? Maybe you need an assistant to carry your 600mm f/4?

Thank you. I only do this as a hobby and only spend what I earn. Thus, neither a 600 nor a 1Dx are in my bag (nor are they on the immediate horizon). The SI guys are the ones you usually see with an assistant to hold either the 600 or the 400 while the other one is being used.

myles, did you see the Rose Bowl restrictions on cameras? No interchangeable lenses, DSLRs, etc. etc. :( Sounds like I won't be able to carry anything in...do you know any differently?

Take off the 70-200 and have someone else carry it in and you bring in the body with a wide lens on it. If either of you get stopped try a different gate. I learned this from UCLA fans and it did indeed work for a buddy last year. I bring mine in through the media gate after the dogs first sniff them, and then they are hand searched. I've been asked to smuggle in gear for friends' who are sitting in the seats, but that just isn't worth the risk to me as I could lose my credential rights for all Badger games if I was to get caught.

Hm. I've been stopped before at venues for carrying a kit lens on a DSLR since it qualifies as an interchangeable lens. Paranoia creeping in...and they might see a longer lens on someone else and question why they would be carrying it (and try to confiscate). Gah.
