The snack foods available in San Francisco are crazy good

That boy likes his sweets.  (Or maybe I do since he could be talking about salty snack foods.)

Now I am curious as to what the young man may mean.

As a young, slightly shorter Texan making my first visit to the Bay Area long ago, the snack foods I had not seen before were:

It's Its (sp)

Little martinelli apple juices in jar shaped like an apple.

Mrs. Fields cookies.

Cupcakes with little trees on them.

Curious as to what you all remember if you weren't originally from the area.

If snacks are Durham Smythe's thing, then Shaw made a mistake taking the recruits to Electronic Arts.  What he should have done is taken them or at least Smythe to the Googleplex.  They provided one of the greatest snack mixes I've ever had:  G.O.A.T. by Muhammad Ali.  Tasty (better than even Munchies), nutritious, and low in calories.  Sadly never to be seen elsewhere or again.

The Google has cut down both on the quality and quantity and theft of their snack food, sadly. Used to be a monthly pastime to schlep over, take mass quantities of their food to supply dorm rooms for...only a short while, sadly. Good times while they lasted.
