Looks like the Gamecocks of South Carolina handled Alabama pretty easily today. This is good for us--at least if we can win our league games. Assuming Oregon holds off WSU, who seems to be giving them a bit a trouble, it is now almost assured an undefeated Duck team goes to the NC game. That leaves the next Pac-10 finisher looking good for a high profile bowl game, whether the Rose Bowl or not.
While the South Carolina win *might* diminish Boise State\'s stature in the eyes of voters, I would love to see them and the Ducks in the NC game. Just need someone to knock out Ohio State.
Not getting ahead of things, we have a game that could be a real challenge today, especially if we experience any sort of letdown, like Oregon seems to be doing in its game with WSU.
